Athena, the War Goddess, decreed that any Goddess who succeed to have a healthy relationship with a God, wouldn't have to tell that God, wouldn't have to reveal that they had a child together.

I and other Gods found out about our children later on, though at least myself fully accepted that you, dear children, are my children, understanding the danger you would have been in if you weren't revealed to me.
